Who Can Apply?
Anyone who drives a vehicle fitted with an air brake system or an air-over-hydraulic brake system is required to have a Z endorsement on his or her driver’s licence.
Freeway Truck & Forklift Training Academy inc. hosts the Ontario Safety League’s 12 Hour Air Brake course every weekend (excluding holidays). Mid-week courses can be made available as well.
In order to qualify to attend one of our courses, the student must possess a valid G-class or higher Ontario Driver’s License
The following is included in the course

- OSL Air Brake Endorsement Manual.
- Minimum 12 hours of in-class instruction
- Receipt of Air Brake Endorsement Certificate
once both Written and Practical Test results are successful
UPON COURSE COMPLETION:

- Once you have successfully completed the endorsement course, you will receive a referral envelope. Present this envelope to a DriveTest Centre within 6 months to add the Z endorsement to your licence.
RENEWING YOUR Z ENDORSEMENT:

- To renew your Z endorsement, you only need to take the applicable knowledge test. No practical test is required unless you are 80 or older.
- Once you reach age 80, you will need to take annual knowledge and practical air brake tests.

Upon registration students will receive a confirmation email confirming enrolment and username and password to access our online portal to manage schedule and payment.
